Only registered ABTO members can vote
With the ABTO Annual General Meeting scheduled for the 23rd of May 2008, the ABTO Secretariat sent out the following email to all tour operators saying that you can vote for ABTO Board of Directors only if you have paid your ABTO membership. According to the attached list, only 157 tour operators have paid their membership fees.
The email announcement from ABTO:
We would like to kindly inform all that one of the criteria for participation and voting during the ABTO Annual General Meeting is reserved for only registered members, meaning having cleared their membership fee dues. Therefore all those who have not paid their membership fee or not registered with ABTO are kindly requested to do so in order to be eligible to attend the forthcoming 8th AGM, vote on issues laid for deliberations, vote for eligible Board of Directors and also to be listed as nominee for the Board of Directors.
Hence all those who are NOT listed as a paid member in the attached list are kindly requested to settle your membership fee due with the Association and also to register if not registered. You are kindly requested to settle your dues by 5.00 PM on 16th May 2008. This is done keeping in line with our own Articles of Associations both old and the draft one.
